The appointment process was confusing...I got conflicting advice about how to make it from letter and people I spoke to. So took me awhile to fix. The welcome at Boots was less warm than previously and I hung around for some time not clear who was seeing me or when, and they were delayed with another patient. But once I saw the staff they were very good and helpful. I had eye check and lenses check consecutively.

The process was great from start to finish and the contact lens specialist and optician were very reassuring and really took time to explain things and talk through options. The member of staff who did the routine sight tests, photo of eye, pressure test, could have been more informative and friendly, she was very routine with not great customer service. However, every other member of the team I saw were brilliant.

Both of the lady's that did my contact lense check and eye test were really nice super helpful and friendly and made me feel relaxed. What I was very disappointed with was the wait. My appointment was at 5 and I didn't leave until 7 due to waiting and getting passed around to different places rooms and people. I had to ask 3 different staff members how much longer it would be because I was kept waiting. When I made the appointment the lady on the phone said it wouldn't be any more than a hour in total she even said maybe more like 50mins. But it was a total of 2 hours. I don't ever make complaints but I feel you need to inform patients what the actual waiting time is so you don't make plans for after like I did. I'm very happy with the service I received during my eye test and contact check.
